Drawing Emotions for Visual Storytelling
Most people walk around thinking they are not good drawers, and what scares the most out of them is if you ask them to draw people. And not just any old people – no, people expressing emotions!
But, as participants at last week’s summer meetup found out, it is actually super easy, and you can even find tons of tricks on how to do it right there in your pocket: check out the emoticons in your skype, whatsapp or messenger app! Copying these is the easiest way to convey any emotion with just a few lines and dots.
And please, when you draw your idea, draw it with people! As soon as you add those little start or stick figures, and emotions, you start telling a story.
And our audience LOVES stories! A story keeps our attention up, makes us remember every little detail, makes us connect and create our own opinion.
